Rob Hochberg (Director)

Rob is a teacher. He holds a Masters of Education with a specialist in Special Education. Rob has taught students from grade 1 through 12.

Rob has spent 19 years at overnight summer camp. He has worked in two provinces and two states. Furthermore, he has held many different positions at camp. He enjoyed working as a cabin specialist, canoe/kayak instructor, senior counselor, Pre-CIT coordinator, and head counselor. He has planned 10 day overland bus trips and canoe trips down the Delaware River. Rob realizes that camp is a special place. Some of Rob's closest friends today were cabin mates back in 1983.

Over the last six years, Rob has spent his summers working at camps in the United States. As a senior staff member, he recognizes the importance placed on hiring quality staff members. Staff members who can balance their social lives with their jobs at camp. Having supervised, mentored, and evaluated Unit Heads, Counselors, and Specialists, Rob has a very good understanding of the traits which make a good staff member.

Adam Strasberg (Director of Recruitment)

Adam Strasberg has been working at camps for the past 20 years. In 2005 and 2006 he was the Summer Camp Director at Camp Kawartha near Lakefield, Ontario. During his career he has worked at more than a half dozen camps across Canada and in the United States. He has traveled extensively around the world and has recruited staff from the United States, Europe, and Australia.

He has been responsible for hiring and training staff, and running leadership workshops for head staff members from various camps across Ontario. Adam was the co-chair of the Ontario Camping Association Skills Weekend in 2006, which hosts over a hundred staff members from over a dozen camps from across Ontario, and will be chairing the event again in 2007.

He is still a camper at heart (a journey that began over 25 years ago) and his passion for creating the ideal setting for campers and staff to grow and develop is what drives him to find the idea staff for the ideal job.

David Machlis (University Liason)

David hails from Toronto and has 5 years of American camping experience. Over the years, he has done various jobs and traveled through different countries meeting up with fellow staff members from camp.

During the school year, David attends York University and works at various childcare programs around the city.

If you would like to contact David to discuss his experience please feel free to ask for his contact information.

"I got a chance to work with all these different people that I never would have had the chance to meet outside of camp. The friendships and memories I made at camp are unlike any I've ever had. The bond people form at camp is strong and unbreakable. Camp is the safest and happiest place I can think of."

Sandra Winger (Campus Respresentative)

Sandra is presently in the Education Program at OISE - University of Toronto. She has completed her ECE at Ryerson University. Sandra worked at a Camp in the New York State. She had a wonderful experience. She worked with children, met people from around the world, and constantly involved in activities that you can only find in a camp setting! Sandra has used her camp experience to help her throughout her Education and is able to relate it to many things she does on a day to day basis. Sandra works for Canadian Camp Staff as an applicant liaison and a campus representative.
