Rob Hochberg (Director)
Rob is a teacher. He holds a Masters of Education
with a specialist in Special Education. Rob has taught
students from grade 1 through 12.
Rob has spent 19 years at overnight
summer camp. He has worked in two provinces and two
states. Furthermore, he has held many different
positions at camp. He enjoyed working as a cabin
specialist, canoe/kayak instructor, senior counselor,
Pre-CIT coordinator, and head counselor. He has planned
10 day overland bus trips and canoe trips down the
Delaware River. Rob realizes that camp is a special
place. Some of Rob's closest friends today were cabin
mates back in 1983.
Over the last six years, Rob has spent his summers
working at camps in the United States. As a senior staff
member, he recognizes the importance placed on hiring
quality staff members. Staff members who can balance
their social lives with their jobs at camp. Having
supervised, mentored, and evaluated Unit Heads,
Counselors, and Specialists, Rob has a very good
understanding of the traits which make a good staff
member.
Adam Strasberg
(Director of Recruitment)
Adam Strasberg has been working at
camps for the past 20 years. In 2005 and 2006 he was the
Summer Camp Director at Camp Kawartha near Lakefield,
Ontario. During his career he has worked at more than a
half dozen camps across Canada and in the United States.
He has traveled extensively around the world and has
recruited staff from the United States, Europe, and
Australia.
He has been responsible for hiring and
training staff, and running leadership workshops for
head staff members from various camps across Ontario.
Adam was the co-chair of the Ontario Camping Association
Skills Weekend in 2006, which hosts over a hundred staff
members from over a dozen camps from across Ontario, and
will be chairing the event again in 2007.
He is still a camper at heart (a
journey that began over 25 years ago) and his passion
for creating the ideal setting for campers and staff to
grow and develop is what drives him to find the idea
staff for the ideal job.
David Machlis
(University Liason)
David hails from Toronto and has 5
years of American camping experience. Over the years, he
has done various jobs and traveled through different
countries meeting up with fellow staff members from
camp.
During the school year, David attends
York University and works at various childcare programs
around the city.

Sandra Winger (Campus
Respresentative)
Sandra is presently in the Education
Program at OISE - University of Toronto. She has
completed her ECE at Ryerson University. Sandra worked
at a Camp in the New York State. She had a wonderful
experience. She worked with children, met people from
around the world, and constantly involved in activities
that you can only find in a camp setting! Sandra has
used her camp experience to help her throughout her
Education and is able to relate it to many things she
does on a day to day basis. Sandra works for Canadian
Camp Staff as an applicant liaison and a campus
representative.
