Do I need a visa to work
in the United States?
Yes. You will need a visa to work
at a camp in the United States. Canadian Camp Staff will
help you to obtain the visa. Most camps will reimburse
international staff members for the cost of the visa.
This reimbursement usually takes place upon completion
of the contract.

How will I get to camp?
Depending on the location of the
camp, you may arrive by plane, bus or car. Canadian Camp
Staff will assist in your travel arrangements. Many
camps in the United States include a travel allowance in
your contract. Most camps will also pick you up at the
airport or bus station.

What camp will I work at?
Hundreds of camps will be hiring
staff for summer employment. Depending on your desire,
background, experience, skills, and interests, Canadian
Camp Staff will try to make the most suitable match
between camps and applicants.

How much will I be paid?
Your salary will depend on your
level of responsibility at the camp, experience,
educational background, areas of specialty and age.
Remember at camp, your meals and lodging are paid for,
therefore, you should be able to save a fair amount of
money.

Do I get days off?
Yes. You will get days off. Most
camps allow for one day off a week and at least one
night out a week. Working at camp can be demanding, but
it is very rewarding. Your days off are well deserved
and they are usually a lot of fun!

Why work at camp?
It is an experience that will be
unforgettable. You will learn, grow, and have fun. In
some ways it is hard to describe working at camp. You
just have to do it!
